Evaluating Scholarship Applications

Scholarship recipients are selected through a holistic review that considers academic achievement, financial need, leadership, resilience, community involvement, and future goals.

Academic Performance
We look for students who demonstrate strong academic performance and a commitment to their education through their academic record and application..
Financial Need
Applicants must provide proof of financial need, including family income and details of any extenuating circumstances.
Leadership, Involvement, and Service
We consider leadership, extracurricular activities, employment, community involvement, and service that demonstrate initiative, responsibility, and a commitment to others.
Education and Career Goals
Applicants should clearly articulate their educational or vocational plans, career aspirations, and how the scholarship will help them achieve their goals.
Personal and Family Circumstances
We consider personal and family circumstances, including challenges or adversity that may have affected an applicant’s educational journey or opportunities.

Academic Performance
We look for students who show strong academic performance and a dedication to their education through grades, teacher recommendations, and personal statements.
Financial Need
Applicants must provide proof of financial need, including family income and details of any extenuating circumstances.
Leadership / Extracurricular / Community Involvement
Demonstrated involvement in extracurricular activities, community service, or part-time employment, along with leadership roles.
Education and Career Goals
Applicants should clearly articulate their career and educational goals and how the scholarship will help them achieve these objectives.
Personal and Family Circumstances
We consider the impact of personal challenges such as single-parent households, foster care, homelessness, and other adverse experiences.
Support Network and Mentorship
The presence of a strong support network, including mentors and community members who can provide guidance, is important.
Community Involvement and Service
Participation in community service or initiatives that show a commitment to giving back and making a positive impact is essential.
Academic and Career Readiness
We look for plans for continuing education or vocational training that align with future career aspirations.

How to Apply

Eligible candidates must complete an application form, which includes short-response questions and one essay prompt.

Required supporting document:

• Current or most recent academic transcript(s)

Optional documents that may strengthen an applicant’s score:

• Standardized test scores
• Up to 3 letters of recommendation

Applicants may earn additional points in the evaluation process by submitting these optional materials.
